Stonefruit
Stone fruit is the name given to the plant species whose fruits are formed as stone fruits.
The inner part of the pericarp is lignified, while the outside is fleshy and juicy.
Important stone fruits are for example peaches, nectarines, apricots and plums, which in turn are divided into red, blue and yellow plums. Many old plum varieties have been replaced by new ones in recent years, which now allow a longer delivery period with higher quality fruits.
Apricots
The apricot was already known in Armenia in ancient times and has been cultivated there for so long that it is often assumed that this is their original home. Other sources locate the genetic origin in China, and yet other sources say that the apricot was first cultivated in India around 3000 BC.

Nectarines
