In November 2003 Christian Hencke, fully trained shipbroker and meanwhile well experienced in fruit imports, founded FFC Fresh Fruit Company GmbH in Hamburg together with Klaus-Henning Bruns.
Our main focus is the import of fresh fruit from South Africa and Zimbabwe. In order to complete our fruit assortment, we also import from Peru, Chile and Brazil.
Our fruit basket contains stonefruit, top fruit, table grapes, conventional and organic citrus and exotics. We are in a position to fulfill our clients’ requests in regard of packaging and quality as we are linked very closely to our producers. The strong personal contacts which FFC has overseas, offer a quick implementation of your requirements. With all our suppliers we maintain an open, transparent and primarily trustful cooperation.
The control of our products from the orchards till the clients’ cold stores, as well as the certification of IFS/BRC, Global Gap, Organic certification and HACCP, are for us and our partners overseas a matter of course.
Residue analyses on a regular basis, as well as the traceability of fruit from the consumer back to the cultivation provide the highest level of fruit safety.
The most important port of entry in the EU remains Rotterdam. From here we are loading daily to all destinations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Hamburg cold store we use is located on the wholesale market close to our office in the Fruchthof.
Furthermore we import directly full containers into Barcelona, Livorno / Genova, Lisbon and of course Hamburg.
